We Build Community

We help build a strong, connected community by creating opportunities for families to meet one another, build friendships, and become part of the Stone Mountain Elementary family.

Throughout the year, we host events that bring families together from kindergarten meetups and Popsicles on the Playground to Family Fest and other school traditions.

These events help new families feel welcome and create lasting connections across our school community.

We Support Our School

Stone Mountain Elementary is an award-winning school where students are supported and encouraged to grow.

The PTO helps strengthen that experience by bringing families together and raising funds that directly support classrooms and our school community.

Fundraising isn't about extras. It supports essentials.

Your donations help cover curriculum, technology, classroom resources, enrichment opportunities, and additional support in reading, math, and gifted and talented learning.

We also support teachers and staff so they have what they need to help every student thrive.

Specialized Student Support
A full-time and part-time Gifted & Talented facilitator, two Reading Interventionists, and one Math Interventionist provide personalized support or enrichment for every student.

Easiest Way to Help

You don't have to attend an event to make a difference. Whether you're shopping, dining out, or supporting local businesses, these everyday opportunities help raise funds for our students. A portion of proceeds from these local businesses give back to Stone Mountain Elementary.

Find a Way to Get Involved

Every Stone Mountain Elementary family has different schedules, talents, and availability—and that's okay. Whether you can volunteer throughout the year, help with a single event, or simply lend a hand when your schedule allows, we'd love to have you involved.

As we build this year's PTO committees, we invite every family to complete the volunteer interest form. Let us know what your capacity looks like this year and which committees interest you. There's no obligation to help with every event, and your availability can change throughout the year.

Our committees aren't about attending meetings—they're about working together to bring great ideas to life. While committee chairs and co-chairs schedule occasional planning meetings and coordinate communication, most of the work happens through shared projects, flexible tasks, and collaboration. You can contribute in ways that fit your schedule and interests.

If you're not ready to join a specific committee, select General PTO Events. We'll reach out when we need extra hands, and you can volunteer whenever it works for your schedule.

Thank you for helping create the events, traditions, and experiences that make Stone Mountain Elementary such a special place for our students, teachers, and families.

How We Work

Each committee is led by a parent volunteer who coordinates the team's work. Committee chairs schedule meetings, communicate with volunteers, and help guide projects from planning through execution. Activities and time commitments vary by committee.

Every committee is always looking for new ideas and helping hands. A great first step is to email the chair or co-chairs below. They'll welcome you, answer your questions, and help you get connected.

You can also email anyone of our executive board members to find out where we could use the most help or have an idea to help support our school.
